Summerlin Event - Christmas Tree Recycling
In keeping with tradition, the master-planned community of Summerlin urges residents to participate in the eco-friendly practice of recycling their real Christmas trees post-holiday season. This initiative is a collaborative effort with The Southern Nevada Christmas Tree Recycling Committee, which includes a network of local businesses and community agencies such as UNLV’s Rebel Recycling Program and the Spring Preserve. The annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program is active from December 26 through January 15. Residents can conveniently drop off their real Christmas trees at two designated Summerlin locations:
- Adjacent to RC Willey Home Furnishing at 3850 S. Town Center Dr., just south of the 215 Beltway.
- The South parking lot of the Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin, with entry via Spruce Goose Street.
Both locations are marked with Christmas Tree Recycling signs and are accessible 24 hours a day.
Before recycling, please ensure all non-organic materials like lights, wire, tinsel, ornaments, and nails are removed from the trees. Note that artificial trees and real trees treated with decorative chemical compounds are not eligible for recycling.
